    Apply Now for our 42nd Citizen Police Academy. Attend the academy to learn from ACCPD professionals in fields such as forensics, communications, criminal investigations, and traffic enforcement. Completed applications will be reviewed and those selected will be contacted. Application Requirements: Must be resident of or work in Athens-Clarke County. Must be at least 18 years of age by first class. Must complete an application and agree to a criminal history check. Must attend 10 of 12 sessions to receive a Certificate of Achievement.

  1. Call for Entries: Ripple Effect Film Project

    Calling all young, budding filmmakers! We are planting the seeds of filmmaking, now just add water and watch you grow: Join the Ripple Effect Film Project by creating a short film about water. Finalists submissions will be shown at The Morton Theater on World Water Day, March 22, 2020. This year the film contest is open to Pre-K through 12th-grade filmmakers of all experience levels in Athens-Clarke County and neighboring counties. Entries can be submitted by an individual or team. Films must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm on February 2, 2020. No entry fees; cash prizes will be awarded!
