Jestin Johnson joined the Manager's Office as the Assistant Manager as of July 11, 2016. Prior to joining ACCGOV, he served as the City Manager of Bisbee, AZ, Deputy City Administrator for the City of McDonough, GA and Management Assistant to the City Manager of Tucson, AZ.
In 2015, the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Daily Star named Johnson as a member of their “40 Under 40 Awards” class for the year.
An Atlanta native, Johnson holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia State University. He started his public service career as a Policy Analyst in the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget for the State of Georgia.
Prior to joining Bisbee in 2014, Johnson had served as Deputy City Administrator for the City of McDonough, GA since 2009 and previously as the Operations Coordinator for CH2M Hill OMI in Milton, GA.
In 2006, he was selected as an International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Management Fellow by the City of Tucson, AZ. Johnson also served four years in the United States Air Force from 1996-2000.
