"2020 Arts Summit: Professional Practices" at Lyndon House Arts Center

The Lyndon House Arts Center presents a full day of workshops, sessions, and services designed to elevate one's professional skills in the visual arts.  The 2020 Arts Summit: Professional Practices is scheduled for Saturday, February 29 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Lyndon House. The day will consist of several one hour sessions on topics such as contracts and grant writing, career portfolio development, promotion in all media, online magazine writing, legacy and estate planning and more. Headshots with photographer Donald Fuller will be available throughout the day.

Guest speakers to date will include:

Forrest Aguar and Michelle Norris of Tropico Photo, Atlanta, Promotion and Social Media
Michelle Davis, Attorney and Member of Georgia Lawyers for the Arts
Gallery Business Panel - Mark Brosseau and Kara Blanken Soper of Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Greenville and Veronica Kessenich Executive Director of Atlanta Contemporary
Lindsey Reynolds & Stephanie Raines, UGA & ACC Arts Division, Archiving, Legacy and Estate Planning
Rebecca Shisler Marshall of Centered Living, Guided Visualization

The Atrium Gallery will have organization information tables for artists and designers including Georgia Museum of Art, Library at Lamar Dodd School of Art, TinyAth, Athens Cultural Affairs Committee, Athens Area Arts Council, ACC Library, Athens Downtown Development Authority, Creature Comforts Get Artistic and Athica.
