The Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) on the 200 block of Prince Avenue (near the Grit and Flagpole Magazine office) was damaged due to a vehicle accident and will need to be replaced. The crosswalk will function as a standard mid-block crosswalk until repairs can be made to the RRFB.

Currently, Traffic Engineering has installed a standard pedestrian crossing sign on the utility pole nearest to crosswalk. Use caution when crossing the street.

Never assume a driver sees you. Make eye contact with drivers are they approach to make sure you are seen.

Be visible at all times. Wear bright clothing during the day, and wear reflective materials or use a flashlight at night.

Replacement for an RRFB usually takes 4-6 weeks. This message will be updated when more information becomes available.
