The purpose of this project is to install sidewalks along Jefferson River Road between Jefferson Road and Vincent Drive. The proposed sidewalk will close an existing gap, providing safe pedestrian access to adjacent subdivisions and businesses along Jefferson River Road as well as to public transportation and points of interest along Jefferson Road and Prince Avenue.
Three alternative designs will be presented at this meeting by the engineering consultants. The purpose of the public meeting is to solicit input and answer any questions. A comment form will be available at the meeting and online after the meeting at www.accgov.com/sidewalks.
Input will inform staff’s recommendation to the Mayor and Commission on which design will be chosen for development. The Mayor and Commission will have access to all of comments before they make a final decision.
Input collected at the meeting and online will be reviewed by staff and presented to the Mayor and Commission before the end of 2019. Once a concept is approved by the Mayor and Commission, ACCGov will solicit bids for construction. The anticipated start date is fall 2020.
