Introduction to printmaking techniques for adults. An introduction to printmaking:
Class participants will explore different types of printmaking techniques ranging from relief printing to etching to monotypes. Each process is very hands-on and each produces very different visual results from bold and graphic to watercolor-like softness. You will be carving, etching or cutting different surfaces and applying ink to experiment with creating small editions or one-of-kind unique prints on different types of paper. We will be printing using a relief/etching press as well as printing by hand using traditional pressure methods. No previous printmaking experience required!
