ATHICA, now at its new location at the Leathers Building, 675 Pulaski Street, Suite 1200, joins the Lyndon House Arts Center to celebrate our neighborhood arts district with a lantern parade on November 1, 2018. The parade route begins at the Arts Center at 211 Hoyt Street ending at ATHICA. The route will go west down Hoyt Street, past the Athens Council on Aging and up the Pulaski Heights Trail for just over half a mile. The parade will be led by the clown troupe band The Thunder Dreamers, featuring Cal Clements. All are invited to bring lanterns and flashlights and join the fun. Assembly will start at the Lyndon House Arts Center at 7:00 PM and the parade will commence at 7:30 PM.
On arrival at ATHICA, parade participants are invited to stay for a sneak preview of the annual juried exhibition, featuring work selected by juror Teresa Bramlette Reeves, Director of Curatorial Affairs for the KSU Zuckerman Museum of Art. Festive beverages and hot chocolate will be served.
