Art with David Hale

We are happy to be welcoming David Hale back to the Arts Center to teach a Youth Art Class!

"When I was a Bird..." Students will get to explore a variety of materials and art making skills to tell a personal and imaginative narrative about themselves as an animal creature. Over the course of the six weeks, we will come up with an animal story, create a sketch of our narrative, create a painting from this sketch, and then make a small scale reclaimed material sculpture using the imagery we have created. The course is a playful way to explore art making and also ideas about ecology and animal biology and the spiritual nature that connects us and these explorations together.
