PreK-12 Programs
The children of Athens-Clarke County are the future of water conservation, so it’s our job to give them the tools they need to protect our precious natural resource. Through hands-on and interactive presentations, kids learn how to use water wisely while having fun at the same time. The Water Conservation Office promotes a culture of water conservation from the smallest to the tallest - classrooms, summer camps, scouts, and home schoolers just to name a few! View the activities the Water Conservation Office offers.

Adult Programs
The Water Conservation Office offers several training courses for homeowners, landscapers, and others throughout the year. Find out how you can fix leaks and save water with WaterSense labeled products. Contact us at or go to our online calendar to see what is coming up next.

Learn the journey of your water by attending a tour of either the JG Beacham Water Treatment Plant or one of Athens three Water Reclamation Facilities.
