Free Monthly Gardening Class
From February through November, Athens-Clarke County Extension holds a free gardening class each month. Taught by Master Gardener Extension Volunteers, these classes take place in the auditorium of the Athens-Clarke County Library (2025 Baxter St.) from 6-7:30 pm. Intended for gardeners of all experience and skill levels, the monthly classes will cover a variety of topics such as seasonal vegetable gardening, composting, beekeeping, and more. Registration is required.
The last class in the 2019 series will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at the Athens-Clarke County Extension office located at 275 Cleveland Rd., Bogart, GA (just past Georgia Square Mall). We'll end the year with an informative presentation on flowering bulbs. Autumn is the time to prepare for a spring time explosion of flowers. Join us as we discuss site selection and bed preparation, recommendations for bulbs suited to our southern climate, and care and maintenance after planting. Please register by Tuesday, November 12.
