Greenway and Riverside Parks

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the next phase of the Greenway.  This special event is planned for Friday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m. 

The Oconee Rivers Greenway is a linear park system that provides wildlife corridors, open spaces and a family friendly multi-use path for the public's enjoyment. Currently, the North Oconee River Greenway provides 3.75 miles of concrete path that is designated for non-motorized use.

The Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission is a an appointed group of citizens that serve as advocates for the planning, protection, and enhancement of the Greenway System in Athens-Clarke County.  Please visit the Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission page for information about membership and meetings.

    Dudley Park Master Plan Process

    The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Park Planning Department is currently revising the Dudley Park Master Plan. Opportunities for public review will be held on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 from 8 AM - Noon at The Athens Farmers Market at Bishop Park, 705 Sunset Drive, and Thursday, March 29th, 2018 from 6 - 7:30 PM at Cook and Brother Plaza at Dudley Park, 100 Dudley Park Road.
