Composting Information

Earth Machine Composter

Composting at Home

Composting is something we can do to help nature recycle valuable nutrients back into the soil. Composting your organic wastes not only keeps them out of the landfills (which means less trash, fewer landfills, and reduced costs for trash collection), but when applied back into your lawn or garden, it also increases the health of your soil.

Check the schedule for COMPOSTING EVENTS!

Earth Machine Compost bins are available from Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful for $50 (tax included).  We accept cash and check.  You may purchase using a credit card via our PayPal account**  A $2 surcharge is added to PayPal and credit card orders to cover processing fees.

**WE DO NOT SHIP BINS!  You must call 706-613-3501 ext. 312 to arrange pickup of your bin at 725 Hancock Industrial Way.
