The Athens-Clarke County Planning Commission is a ten-member body composed of ACC residents appointed by the Mayor and Commission for five-year terms. The Planning Commission meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month to deliberate and make recommendations to the Mayor & Commission regarding the Planning & Zoning code, Comprehensive Plan and other planning and development-related matters.

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE: Community Goals
We will provide an opportunity for the public to hear a brief update regarding the status of the Comprehensive Plan, particularly focusing on the first element of the document, Community Goals. These encompass the vision statement, community goals, and community policies that will layout the direction for the community's future. Comments about the plan can be made throughout this process on our website.
As this is an item on the Planning Commission Agenda, public input will be held to the time allowances governed by the Planning Commission Bylaws. Questions can also be directed to the Planning Department at 706 613.3515.
