Unified Government Service Changes

Mayor & Commission

  • The Mayor & Commission work session scheduled for Tuesday, Sep. 12 has been rescheduled for Monday, Sep. 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the Planning Department Auditorium, 120 W. Dougherty St.  

Leisure Services

  • Bear Hollow Zoo will temporarily close some exhibits while repairs are being made to enclosures damaged by the storm.
  • Hazardous trail conditions remain with numerous downed and hazard trees along trails. A system-wide assessment is underway and trails will be flagged as cleared on the Trail Status page as crews complete work.

Solid Waste

  • Residential collection is under the following schedule:
    • Trash and recycling normally collected on Fridays will be collected Friday, September 15
    • Trash and recycling collected on Monday, September 18 will allow additional overflow at no additional charge.
    • Trash and recycling collected on Tuesday, September 19 will allow additional overflow at no additional charge.
  • Leaf & limb service will collect Area B during September 18-22. Normal limits to debris will not apply. However, future collection of areas may be altered. Updates to leaf and limb collection will be posted at
  • The CHaRM facility will remain closed through the weekend to allow crews to stage debris cleanup. The CHaRM facility will open under normal operating hours Monday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m.
