The East Athens Educational Dance Center will present its Annual Dance Production at the Morton Theatre.
The East Athens Educational Dance Center (EAEDC) celebrates 30 years in the Athens-Clarke County community. This year’s annual dance production features the talented students of the EAEDC in various dance styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, modern, and tap.
Advanced tickets will go on sale at the Morton Theatre Box Office in person, by phone and online beginning Monday, January 23. For tickets to a school children’s matinee performance on Thursday, February 23 or the youth and senior group night on, February 24, call the East Athens Educational Dance Center at 706-613-3624
School performances are scheduled for Thursday, February 23 at 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Lanes along West Washington Street across from the Morton Theatre will be closed for school bus parking for both of the sold out performances.
A Youth and Senior Group Night performance is set for Friday, February 24. Special interest groups including senior citizen organizations, at risk youth and adult organizations, individuals with special needs are invited to enjoy an evening of dance performance. The admission fee is $8.00 per person and the group must consist of 10 or more people. A reservation is required by February 23, 2017 by calling the Dance Center at 706- 613-3624. Space is limited. Reservations are accepted Monday-Friday from noon-4 PM.
The public performances are scheduled for Saturday, February 25 at 7 PM. and Sunday, February 26 at 3 PM. All performances take place at the Morton Theatre in downtown Athens. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the show (pending availability). Tickets will be on sale to the public at the Morton Theatre Box Office beginning January 23, 2017 weekdays from 10 AM. – 6 PM or online at www.mortontheatre.com.
