The East Athens Educational Dance Center will present its Annual Dance Production: “Be Ever Wonderful” celebrating the music of Earth, Wind and Fire, at the Morton Theatre. The production features a weekend full of performances by their talented students showcasing various dance styles including jazz, tap, ballet, modern dance, and more.

School performances are scheduled for Thursday, February 26 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Lanes along West Washington Street across from the Morton Theatre will be closed for school bus parking for both of the sold out performances. Limited tickets are available for the 11:30 a.m. performance.

A Youth and Senior Group Night performance is set for Friday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. Special interest groups including senior citizen organizations, youth organizations, church groups, individuals with special needs are invited to enjoy an evening of dance performance. The admission to this final dress rehearsal is $8 per person and the group must consist of 10 or more people. A reservation is required by Wednesday, February 25 by calling the Dance Center at (706) 613-3624. Space is limited for both the school performances and Youth and Senior Group Night. Reservations are accepted Monday-Friday, noon to 4:00 p.m.

The public performances of “Be Ever Wonderful” are scheduled for Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m. All performances take place at the Morton Theatre in downtown Athens. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door (pending availability). Ticket sales opened to the public beginning on Monday, January 26 at the Morton Theatre Box Office weekdays from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or online at www.mortontheatre.com.

The East Athens Educational Dance Center and Morton Theatre are units of the Arts & Nature Division of Athens-Clarke County Unified Government’s Leisure Services Department.
