Public Programming at Sandy Creek Nature Center

Family Programs

These programs are offered once or twice a quarter. Topics vary from prowling for owls on a night hike to learning how to care for the critters at SCNC. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for these programs.

Walk-In Programs

These programs are free and open to the general public. Enjoy a nature story during our

Critter Tales, or hike around the property during the Naturalist’s Walk. An Open House is held every quarter and varies in topic from astronomy to frogs to creating backyard habitats. You can become a member of our Nature’s Trading post and learn what it takes to collect and trade items found in nature.
Parent-Child Programming

Experience nature with your child during these interactive classes. Babies and Beasties

is for children aged 18 months through two years. Knee High Naturalists, for ages 3 to 5 years, continues the learning experience as your child grows.
