The Project includes expansion of the existing Environment, Natural Science and Appropriate Technology (ENSAT) Facility at Sandy Creek Nature Center by approximately 4,600 sq. ft. of new construction and minor renovation and reconfiguration of portions of the existing space. New construction adjoining the existing learning center hall will bring the building to its originally intended size of approximately 16,000 sq. ft. The expansion will provide the space needed for the woodlands and urban interactive learning centers (Exhibits), creation of a sky center/planetarium-style facility, increased space for animal care area, expansion of the library with adjoining multi-use room, and parking lot improvements.
