New Projects
  • Evening service from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday through Saturday nights is available on eight routes provided with six buses; service started in August 2006 and currently is providing an average of 6,000 passenger trips per month

  • Two million dollars to be invested into the bus stop improvement program, providing new shelters, benches, and other amenities to make transit more customer friendly throughout Athens-Clarke County
  • SPLOST 2005 vehicle replacement programs

Recently Completed Projects
  • New 10 million dollar, Multimodal Transportation Center, under construction on East Broad Street, adjacent to the rail corridor and the Classic Center parking deck
  • Phase I of bus stop improvement program - 20 new bus shelters and 60 improved level-one bus stops
  • Replacement of vehicle, the purchase of nine new transit coaches, three new accessible vans, one supervisor vehicle; improvements of stormwater facility and completion of porous pavement project at maintenance facility
