Athens-Clarke County is regularly featured on national lists of great places to visit and live. One reason is the wide variety of outstanding programs, parks, and facilities offered through the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department.
Quality and diversity of programming have earned the Department multiple annual awards from the Georgia Recreation and Park Association, including Agency of the Year Award seven out of the past eleven years.
So, explore more than 2,000 acres of parks and open spaces, celebrate the arts and nature, participate in sports and athletic activities, take a class, go to camp, or just have a picnic with the family. Whatever your recreation interest, it is likely found within the Leisure Services Department.
What are you waiting for? Come learn, create and play with us!
We build a healthier and more livable community by providing opportunities to learn, to create and to play in quality parks, programs and facilities that are valued by our citizens.
