About Cooperative Extension
Athens-Clarke County Cooperative Extension is the local office of the statewide County Extension System. It is a cooperative venture between the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and the University of Georgia. Cooperative Extension provides education and information for all citizens of Athens-Clarke County in the areas of agriculture, horticulture, the environment, families, food and nutrition, and financial security.

Our mission is to extend lifelong learning to Georgia citizens through unbiased, research-based education in agriculture, the environment, communities, youth, and families.
