What happens at the Athens Water Festival?

Water organizations come together to make water sparkle!  Touch sea life, become a water drop, or create a water delivery system.  With open-ended activities, participants of all ages enjoy the activities at the festival.  To get an idea of what the festival offers, watch the official video from the 2012 Athens Water Festival. New This Year
The festival isn't just for kids!  This year features workshops to help adults use water wisely around the home.  Learn how to build a rain barrel, make home-made natural cleaning products, and put together a drip irrigation system.

Shuttle Service
Don't let transportation keep you from getting to the festival!  This year we are offering FREE shuttle service from the East Athens Health Center on McKinley Drive to Sandy Creek Park.  The shuttle will leave the Health Center at 10:20, 11:00, 11:40, 12:20, 1:00, and 1:40.  It will leave Sandy Creek Park at 10:40, 11:20, 12:00, 12:40, 1:20, 2:00, and 2:40.  Anyone entering the park on the bus receives FREE park admission!

Magic Water
Water is magical and Keith the Magic Man proves it.  His show, "The Magic of Clean and Plentiful Water," reappears at this year's festival.  Families are always amazed by his magic and ventriloquism.
